CYNDIE MCKINNEY

While living in Colorado and hiking throughout the Rocky Mountains and the Great Sand Dunes, I became enamored with natural stone and rock formations. While living along Lake Michigan my passion became collecting crinoids along the beach and searching for other fossils, shells, beach glass, freshwater pearls and driftwood. These materials combined with a variety of metals are the foundation to each of my jewelry pieces. I then may add in some Swarovski Crystals to contrast the textures and reflect the light of surrounding elements. I layer each of these elements to create a custom composition that embraces the asymmetric balance of nature. The natural inclusions of rock, the grain of wood, the satiny texture of shells and pearls, the story behind fossils, combined with crystals gives depth, interest, color that is hard to replicate. These one-of-a-kind pieces don’t just complete an outfit- they are a piece of art crafted to enrich your life. They invite you to live in the moment and reflect on the natural beauty of materials found from the earth. Each Colorado crafted piece; earrings, necklace, bracelet, ring, or pin is a custom curation and will reflect the uniqueness that you embody.

Everywhere I’ve lived, I’ve left a trail of my pieces with my friends and family. Now I hope to expand the pieces I’ve been making for 25 years to you, your friends and family!
